Job description

CK Group is recruiting for a Software Engineer to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a 12-month contract basis.

Salary: £26.52 - £34.60 per hour PAYE.

Software Engineer Role:

• Be a hands-on technologist, spending significant time coding across all parts of the Atom5 platform.
• Work in an agile environment, developing features according to sprint priorities.
• Collaborate with the team, sharing ideas, reviewing code, mentoring, and guiding team members on technology architecture and implementation.
• Stay updated with industry trends, embracing new languages, frameworks, containers, and cloud technologies, and continuously learning.
• Maintain an inquisitive mindset, exploring tools and libraries to understand their inner workings.

Your Background:

• Understanding of best practices in software engineering.
• Good communication skills for stakeholder updates and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript) with a willingness to learn others.
• Experience with core platform frameworks/libraries such as Spring Boot, ReactJS, React Native, Docker.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Enjoy participating in the full software development lifecycle, from idea and design to deployment and operational considerations.
• Ability to write clean, simple, and secure code, prioritizing testing and user experience.
