Role summary

The European Finance Director is a senior leadership role, managing client property operating expenses (POE) such as rent, rates, utilities, etc., and non-POE costs known as IFM. This role will work closely with the APAC Finance team to ensure a seamless 'One JLL' service to the client. It will have direct responsibility for leading an EMEA finance team of up to 6 client-facing FTEs based in Poland and collaborate with a central team of approximately 5 FTEs based in Gurugram.

The Finance Director will support account mobilization, aiming to mirror APAC systems and processes, learning from their experience to minimize risks. They will ensure the execution of accounting processes and programs to maintain accuracy, tracking, and control over operating expenses and capital expenditures, ensuring compliance and delivering all JLL corporate finance requirements like budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. They will also assist the Account Director in minimizing risk and ensuring contractual compliance, while maximizing revenue and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Direction & Management
• Develop strong relationships with regional finance leads and ensure a unified 'One JLL Client Approach'.
• Provide clear financial and commercial advice to the Account Director and operational teams.
• Support the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to financial services.

• Relationship Management
• Proactively develop and manage client and business relationships to meet service expectations.
• Foster teamwork, transparency, and performance excellence across the region.
• Manage and coach the finance team to ensure high morale, trust, and performance.

• Budgeting and Reporting
• Coordinate finance activities across EMEA, including reporting and financial administration.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and budgeting in collaboration with the client finance team.

• Data Management, Policies & Procedures & Audit
• Maintain data integrity and audit readiness of financial systems.
• Implement controls to ensure transaction integrity and compliance with quality standards.

• JLL Reporting
• Manage balance sheet and P&L reporting, profitability analysis, and cash flow management.
• Optimize financial processes and controls, including SOX compliance.

• Invoice Payment & Processing
• Oversee timely payment of invoices and receivables, developing guidelines for payment processes.
