Role Overview:
Applications are invited from experienced clinicians with a broad range of clinical skills for the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Service based at University Hospital Ayr and the MSK centre within Biggart Hospital (Prestwick). The role involves managing a caseload primarily consisting of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, with referrals for patients with multiple pathologies. You will provide direct clinical care, including advanced assessment, treatment, and management of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. You will work independently most of the time but also contribute to the physiotherapy team. Continuous professional development and postgraduate experience in MSK are essential.
Knowledge, Training, and Experience:
The role offers opportunities to gain knowledge in Orthopaedics, Complex Case Clinics, Pain Management, and Rheumatology, enhancing MSK pathways. Training will be provided for telephone and virtual clinics. Candidates must possess a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy, be HCPC registered, and have permission to work in the UK. A UK driving license and car ownership are essential.
