Searchability NS&D has a permanent opportunity for an RF Design Engineer to work across an exciting range of projects.

Must be willing to attain MOD DV Clearance.

Salaries up to £85k + Package.

What will the RF Design Engineer be doing?

• Design, simulate, and implement RF and analogue electronic circuits and systems for defence-related projects in domains such as electromagnetic warfare, positioning, timing, and survivability, with cutting-edge solutions.
• Conduct hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of RF and analogue electronic circuits, systems, and components to optimize performance (e.g., impedance, VSWR, wideband operation).
• Participate in design reviews and provide valuable technical input to enhance project outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation and reports, including design specifications, test plans, and results for compliance evidence, focusing on RF and analogue electronic circuits and systems.
• Provide technical support to the Technical Lead, including risk management and input to customer meetings.
• Mentor and give feedback to junior engineers to support team growth.
• Communicate proactively and collaborate with stakeholders both within and outside the project team.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proficiency in Microwave Office.
• Proficiency in Altium.
• Design experience at frequencies from LF up to X Band.
• Experience in designing Low Noise Amplifiers.
• Experience in designing receivers.
• Working with high-power amplifiers.
• Knowledge of the defence business domain.
