Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Linux Engineer to join a global leader in consulting, technology services, and digital transformation. The role involves working on cloud and infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 9, secure network architecture, and software development environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing LDAP, SELinux, Splunk, RDP, VNC, Eclipse C++ Development IDE & plugins, anti-malware tools, and configuring network devices such as switches, firewalls, and NAS.
• Setting up RHEL subscription and update services within a secure NIST-based framework.
• Deriving detailed use cases, designing solutions, and implementing local development environments with integration into the corporate restricted network.
• Collaborating with IT teams for network integration and maintenance.
• Providing documentation and reports on progress, blockers, and dependencies.

Work Arrangement: Predominantly on-site with optional home working for documentation tasks.

Reporting: Managed by the Engineering Manager, Andrew Thompson, with support from the Network Administrator, Andrew Pollock.
