The Role

Fantastic opportunity for a Hardware or Software Engineer to work in the Architecture & Technology Group at Arm's headquarters in Cambridge!


Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to develop and maintain parts of the Arm architecture related to virtual memory. The role involves validating ideas using models and collaborating with architects, technical leads, and teams. The candidate will gain insights into future CPU architectures.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and development of Arm architecture products, including specifications, models, and testing.
  • Evaluate future architecture features through modeling, prototyping, and analysis.
  • Ensure architecture specifications are clear and complete.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and writers to plan and transfer knowledge.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining Arm's architecture documentation.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Sciences, or Electronic/Electrical Engineering. Other degrees considered with relevant experience.
  • Understanding of processor architecture and hardware-software interaction.
  • Knowledge of memory systems architecture, e.g., as a design or systems software engineer.
  • Ability to reason about engineering trade-offs quantitatively.
  • Enthusiasm for technical growth and teamwork.


Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

  • Exposure to Arm Architecture.
  • Experience in writing software models.
  • Knowledge of file formats and markup languages like JSON, XML, markdown (desirable).
  • Experience collaborating with customers to understand requirements.
  • Familiarity with software tooling, testing, delivery practices, and version control (e.g., git).
