The Opportunity:
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Production Planner Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive individual to manage the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-paced food production environment.
Position: Full Time, Permanent
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 17:30
Location: Manchester (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Align ingredient supply and demand forecasts with production and commercial strategies to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage procurement and stock levels of raw materials to support multiple food production lines.
- Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate weekly national and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Monitor and manage transport costs to optimize logistics expenses.
- Oversee stock levels of raw materials in third-party warehouses, balancing inventory needs with cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with stock controllers and runners for smooth production preparation.
- Plan daily production volumes considering operational limitations and customer demand provided by the demand planner.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as required by the Group.
Person Specification:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience in supply and demand forecasting with a strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize procurement and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and drive continuous improvement.
