There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top-up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum. This will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse within Adferiad ward, based at St Cadocs Hospital, Caerleon.
The post holder will be a key member of the in-patient multi-disciplinary team, working within a recovery-focused service. The role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork. We aim to offer the highest quality specialist service to our patient group in a safe and supportive environment that promotes recovery at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.

The role involves 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, with flexible working options available.
Adferiad is a 22-bedded adult acute mental health unit serving Newport and South Monmouthshire for patients aged 18 to 65 (70 for those already in the service). The unit works closely with the South Gwent Crisis Home Treatment Team, which gatekeeps admissions and facilitates early discharges. It includes a 136-suite based near the ward, collaborating with Newport-based Community Mental Health teams within Goldtops.
The successful applicant will be keen to develop junior staff, embrace clinical supervision, and participate in audits to improve quality. Support for further skill development is provided as part of a clinical progression pathway.
