This is a great opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, which integrates and coordinates the delivery of main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling, and support services. This approach helps different contractors work as a single entity to deliver complex installations.

The Role

As an Area Health and Safety Lead, you’ll be involved in a major project with national significance. Your responsibilities include:

1. Acting as the first point of contact for H&S Advisors, escalating unresolved issues.
2. Overseeing HSE advisors' KPIs and supporting the HSE Area Lead in investigations.
3. Recording audit and inspection findings per HSSE management system requirements.
4. Building relationships with Tier 1 contractors and the Principal Contractor.
5. Monitoring working practices regarding health, safety, environment, and welfare.

This role is full-time and based onsite at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater.

Essential Experience

• Significant, relevant construction experience.
• Excellent communication skills to explain HSE procedures.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Security Clearance (must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS clearance).
