The Apple Music Studio Engineering team manages the production technology behind making some of the world’s greatest music content and radio programs. This includes audio video editorial and live broadcasting technology. We’re looking for a Studio Engineer with audio and video production expertise to further enhance our production operations.

Key Qualifications
  1. 5 to 7+ years of experience engineering live performances, live broadcast music production, radio, etc.
  2. Knowledge of production audio/on-location recordings (lavaliere micing techniques, wireless audio systems, timecode sync, etc.)
  3. Familiarity working in multi-format audio environments including SMPTE 2110-30, Dante, AES3, MADI, and analog.
  4. Extensive experience with audio recording and mixing fundamentals including deep knowledge of digital audio workstations, plugin suites, microphone techniques, and more.
  5. Knowledge of basic lighting principles for studio and stage.
  6. Ability to travel for remote broadcasts and recordings as required.
  7. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  8. Skilled at troubleshooting calmly and effectively under various pressures with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Flexible in approach to an ever-changing set of tasks and challenges.
  10. Strong computing skills including macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  11. Functional IT and networking knowledge is a plus including storage and file management principles.
  12. Deep familiarity with the Apple ecosystem of services and hardware (macOS, iOS, Apple Music, iTunes, App Store, Apple Books, Apple Podcasts, Apple TV, etc.)
Description
  1. Delivery of recording sessions and live broadcasts with A-list artists in a fast-paced day-to-day production environment.
  2. Assist video teams in capture, transmission, and storage of video content.
  3. Ensure all equipment performs to standard by keeping it in top operating capacity, conducting and managing equipment repairs.
  4. Inform extended management of any irregularities or impact to production.
  5. Interface with both internal and external partners to align on audio and video production requirements.
  6. Coordinate and assist with off-site audio and video captures.
  7. Manage audio mixing, processing, and cleaning tasks.
  8. Up to 15% domestic and international travel.
Education & Experience

BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $241,500 and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
