Job Title: Part Time Tutors (All Subjects)

Salary Range: £110 - £175 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long-Term

GSL Education are recruiting Part-Time Tutors across a wide range of subjects to support Post-16 learners in and around Newcastle. If you're a dedicated subject specialist, passionate about guiding students towards academic success and future opportunities, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

You will work with small groups or one-to-one with Post-16 students, delivering tailored academic support in your subject specialism. The focus is on building confidence, boosting knowledge, and preparing learners for exams, employment, or further education.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Individual Learning: Help implement personalised learning plans.
• Provide Targeted Support: Offer 1:1 and small group assistance tailored to student needs.
• Monitor Progress: Track student development and adjust support as required.
• Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with teachers, support teams, and parents/carers.
• Create a Positive Environment: Help build a space where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
• Engage Learners: Use a variety of strategies to maintain student interest and adapt to different learning styles.
• Keep Accurate Records: Maintain documentation of student progress and share insights with staff.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in your specialist subject or related field (essential).
• Strong subject knowledge and an ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Teaching or tutoring experience in an education setting (FE, Secondary, or Post-16 preferred)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply via GSL Education)
