Job Description

Maxar is seeking a talented and security-oriented Software Engineer with API and front-end development experience to join our Usage, Billing, and Metrics team within Maxar Geospatial Platform Core.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, scale, and maintain highly available APIs for usage tracking within the Maxar Geospatial Platform.
• Build user interfaces for metrics and analytics related to usage.
• Design and engineer solutions to meet user needs and customer requirements.
• Introduce automation and evangelize new tools and processes.
• Assist with scaling, monitoring, and optimizing APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, conduct defect resolution, and communicate statuses in an agile environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure API availability and performance.

Location: Westminster, CO or remote. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Programming experience with Java and Python.
• Experience building front-end applications (e.g., Vue, React).
• Experience developing REST API endpoints.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservice architectures, and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Experience with Jenkins, ELK Stack, ArgoCD, Helm, infrastructure as code tools, and various databases.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for learning.
