An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time General Practice Commercial Research Fellow to work in the Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research, Division of Population Health, School of Health Sciences at the University of Manchester.
The NIHR School for Primary Care Research (SPCR) General Practice Commercial Research Fellowship (GP CRF) is a new initiative aiming to provide general practitioners (GPs) with dedicated time to collaborate with key partners such as the NIHR Research Delivery Network, NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centres, and NIHR HealthTech Research Centres. The goal is to develop new capacity in commercial research delivery in out-of-hospital settings and increase the participation of general practices in commercial research.
Fellows will receive academic support from SPCR departments, access to wider NIHR SPCR training resources, and be part of the broader SPCR network. They will form a peer-support group, work with experienced academics to enhance their career development, and acquire new skills in commercial research.
Fellows will also network extensively with regional primary care providers, promoting and supporting the uptake of the commercial portfolio.
The fellowship is part-time (0.2 FTE), starting from 1st August 2025 until 31st December 2026. Fellows will be paid an academic clinical salary (pro-rata).
