What's the Gig?

Summary: As a kitchen porter, you will support all areas of the kitchen to maintain standards of service and cleanliness. You will follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently. We support development through the Clayers Academy for career progression. We seek a self-driven individual with hospitality experience and a strive for excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. General cleaning of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors.
2. Proper disposal of kitchen waste.
3. Completing weekly cleaning schedules.
4. Washing dishes by hand and loading/unloading dishwashers.
5. Cleaning cooking equipment.
6. Supporting chefs with basic food prep.
7. Assisting kitchen staff as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Level 1 Food Safety Award (training provided).
• Awareness of manual handling and COSHH regulations (training provided).
• Passion for hospitality and creating great experiences.
• Attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Honest, proactive, and able to work calmly under pressure.
