Information Security Consultant

Akkodis is currently partnering with a leading global professional services provider to recruit an Information Security Consultant. The role involves providing advice and guidance on IT security matters across a multi-region infrastructure.

The Role

As an Information Security Consultant, you will collaborate with the IT Security Team to support and maintain enterprise-wide solutions.

The Responsibilities

1. Assist with security incident management and response activities.
2. Support day-to-day management and response to security alerts from systems and end users.
3. Conduct regular security checks, reconciliation, compliance checks, and investigate exceptions.
4. Identify and raise awareness of security risks.
5. Develop and improve security policies, processes, procedures, and technical controls to enhance security resilience.
6. Proactively identify security risks and opportunities to strengthen defenses against cyber threats.
7. Participate in the design and implementation of systems and applications.
8. Create user and technical training guides.
9. Maintain and manage the IT Risk register.
10. Test Disaster Recovery (DR) plans to ensure effectiveness, identify gaps, and collaborate on improvements.

The Requirements

1. Hands-on experience with security and/or infrastructure within an enterprise environment.
2. Knowledge of enterprise information security standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, 27002, Data Protection Act, and GDPR.
3. Experience with Microsoft O365 Security solutions, Networking, Security operations, and Vulnerability Management.
4. Experience with Security Auditing.
5. Understanding of security testing principles, including vulnerability scanning, risk identification, resolution, and reporting.
6. Experience in creating formal documents such as reports and procedures.
7. Knowledge of Threat Intelligence analysis and best practices.
8. Familiarity with Security Incident Response processes, procedures, and best practices.
9. Understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity principles.
10. Experience with event and log analysis.
