Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end supply chain function. This includes retailer account management, delivering warehouse & logistics operational excellence all while implementing efficient and cost-effective strategies to ensure timely and reliable flow of our goods. This is a cross functional role, requiring co-ordination across multiple internal departments as well as collaboration with external partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Retailer Relationship Management
- Oversee sales order management for selected retail accounts through SBO software. Daily monitoring and co-ordination with the 3PL team & Supply Chain Co-ordinators, to ensure all orders are delivered on time.
- Build collaborative retailer relationships with the aim of maximising availability, especially during key activations and promotional periods. Using historical sales performance and analysis to influence a healthy stock build to drive sales.
- Work closely with internal teams and retail partners to plan and execute successful launch of NPD throughout the year.
Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics Management
- Monitor monthly warehouse performance against SLAs in line with the 3PL contractual agreement. Lead KPI review meetings with the local UK warehouse.
- Manage stock adjustments, cycle counts, and maintain alignment between WMS and ERP systems in full collaboration with the finance team.
- Lead internal audits and lead stock reconciliation for half year and year-end reviews.
- Manage inbound & outbound logistics operations ensuring efficiency in the flow of goods.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Prepare and share monthly supply chain cost updates, highlighting cost-saving initiatives and results.
- Lead reviews on ordering patterns and propose changes to reduce logistics and operational costs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance, analyse data, and implement improvements.
Compliance & Regulations
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards throughout the supply chain.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with Retail, Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce teams on key initiatives and campaigns to successfully execute commercial initiatives.
- Represent supply chain in project discussions (e.g. EDI, system enhancements).
- Lead SC support for dedicated accounts Maison Sisley and Hair Rituel, including reporting and activation follow-ups.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage & mentor Supply Chain Co-ordinators, fostering a positive, collaborative high-performing environment.
- Provide clear direction, set goals and ensure alignment with the organisational objectives.
- Delegate tasks effectively, monitoring progress and providing regular constructive feedback.
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related degree.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain with a proven record of success.
- Experience within the beauty industry would be desirable.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes including demand planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics & distribution.
- Experience in managing external customer relationships, ideally with premium UK retailers.
- Strong data analysis skills; ability to interpret and draw conclusions from data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel. Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems
- Previous experience managing or supervising a small team is essential
- Excellent communication with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across different functions and levels
- Proactive individual with ability to manage priorities in a commercial environment
