Software Engineer

Salary: up to £35k

Location: Fully Remote

Team: Joining a team of 7 developers

Role: The company is a leading client onboarding and case management platform experiencing growth. They seek engineers with a broad skill set to contribute across the development pipeline, pushing high-quality features and fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.

The platform is part of the legal tech space, continually evolving to meet sector needs. Candidates should be eager to learn, adapt, and actively contribute from day one, managing projects end-to-end with independence and ownership.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, design, and implement features based on product roadmaps or client requests
• Manage feature delivery independently, ensuring quality and deadlines
• Collaborate with clients to develop bespoke solutions
• Support team members, leveraging personal strengths
• Follow and improve internal code standards
• Utilize cloud and third-party services
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Respond to client queries and provide technical support

The tech stack includes an end-to-end TypeScript monorepo, Vue client app with Firebase backend, and various micro-services and third-party providers. The team is encouraged to explore new technologies and tools, including AI, to enhance productivity. Performance is measured by output, client satisfaction, feature quality, and added value.

The company offers a fully remote environment with flexible hours, requiring availability during UK office hours.

Technical strengths:

• Strong foundation in TypeScript
• Experience with Firebase or similar cloud/backend platforms, or backend TypeScript (Node.js, Lambda, etc.)
• Proficiency in at least one major frontend framework (Vue2 preferred, but React, Angular, etc., acceptable)
