About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Construction Manager to join Jacobs and complement our existing project delivery team. The Construction Manager is accountable for supervising, directing, and monitoring day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that all contractors are coordinated and working effectively to the delivery program. The candidate will help deliver projects for our key clients and drive the growth of our business in this sector by managing the following tasks:

  1. Coordinating a workforce of multi-disciplined tradesmen and subcontractors;
  2. Managing projects in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015;
  3. Developing Safe Systems of Work and RAMS;
  4. Procuring materials to ensure the continuation of work for the workforce;
  5. Engaging and developing strong relationships with client managers, Jacobs workforce, and the construction team;
  6. Managing and taking hands-on ownership of delivery from inception to completion, prioritizing safety, schedule, and cost to deliver benefits to Jacobs;
  7. Ensuring delivery teams adhere to client and company requirements, policies, and processes;
  8. Reporting progress and issues to Senior Leadership.
Here's What You'll Need:
  • A recognized qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent);
  • SMSTS 5-day course qualification;
  • NEBOSH qualification is preferred;
  • CSCS Black Manager’s Card or equivalent;
  • Experience in the construction of commercial buildings and offices;
  • Hands-on Construction Management experience in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015;
  • Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector;
  • Ability to obtain a minimum level of SC Clearance;
  • UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
