The demand for EVs is increasing faster than the charging infrastructure can support. At E.ON, we are leading the way in installing EV charging points to meet this demand, and we are expanding our team.

We are currently seeking an Electrician's Mate (EV Installation) to join our team across the UK. The role involves supporting industrial electrical installations, trunking, tray work, and distribution board installation, including inspection and testing. There is an opportunity, following appropriate training and authorization, to develop skills in EV charger installation. This role offers a valuable development opportunity for an industrial or commercial-focused Electrician’s Mate.

Your key responsibilities include installing and maintaining EV charging equipment, assisting EV Installers with connections to switch panels and distribution boards, and ensuring safety and compliance in all tasks.

Other responsibilities include:

• Safe use and operation of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Ownership of personal health and safety, complying with company policies and procedures.
• Preparing and completing pre-works for EV installation.
• Following operational practices, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Using PPE and equipment correctly as per risk assessments and method statements.

What we need from you:

• Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or relevant electrical training/programme, or an apprentice-trained electrician with C&G qualifications and current 18th Edition IEE Regulations certificates.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing, and inspection, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Understanding of electrical work in industrial or commercial environments.
• Current First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.
• A current driving license (a company vehicle will be provided).
