The Orpheus Centre is a charity and college which supports young disabled adults aged 18-25 to learn essential life skills, gain formal qualifications and prepare for future employment.
All young people who come to Orpheus have a love of the arts and are able to experience music, dance, drama, music technology and visual arts during their time at the college.
The arts are what makes Orpheus unique. It is a place to nurture creative talents, experience the professional arts world and in doing so, build confidence and self-esteem, and have a greater sense of wellbeing, identity, and purpose.

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional Drama Tutor with experience of exploring diverse culture through drama at our SEN College.
This role will facilitate a broad range of activities in conjunction with staff, learners and the wider community so as to deepen and broaden learners’ experience in the fields of arts and performance based subjects. Working with the wider team, you will be key in the development of a broad and rich curriculum offer that supports the acquisition of skills and knowledge in support of learners’ aspirations and future plans.
Everything we do at Orpheus is concerned with enabling young disabled adults to live life to the fullest, in particular with respect to developing confidence and skills for work and independence living.
35 hours per week / 44 weeks per year (hours may be altered on occasions according to the needs of the curriculum and organisation – some evening and off site work will be involved.
£23,932.13– 28,306.05 per annum (dependent on qualifications)
