Job Title: Logistics Manager

AMJ Logistics is known as Canada's mover, providing comprehensive logistics solutions including first and middle-mile solutions, LTL freight management, and more. We operate over 24 branches with a fleet of 1000+ assets, serving major Canadian sports organizations and restaurant chains. Join our Kitchener-Waterloo team as a Logistics Manager - Asset Division, to lead our asset-based LTL freight operations and manage complex projects and rollouts.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of 4-6 office personnel and 20+ drivers.
  2. Oversee daily operations of LTL freight and dispatch teams.
  3. Book and coordinate freight shipments across Canada and the U.S.
  4. Lead logistics for high-volume projects and store rollouts.
  5. Use logistics management systems (TMS) and dispatch software for routing and tracking.
  6. Develop routing strategies to improve fleet efficiency and punctuality.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  8. Monitor KPIs, control costs, and implement process improvements.
  9. Ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety standards.
  10. Coach and mentor team members to foster a culture of accountability and service excellence.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 3 years experience in logistics, freight coordination, or transportation management.
  2. Experience in LTL freight, preferably in an asset-based environment.
  3. Strong project coordination skills, especially with rollouts or multi-site logistics.
  4. Knowledge of freight booking systems and dispatch software.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with a solutions-oriented approach.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
  • Benefits include dental, disability, extended health, life insurance, on-site gym and parking, paid time off, vision care, and wellness programs.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
  • Location: Cambridge, ON, on-site employment.
