We are now recruiting for a Technical Maintenance Controller within the Fleet External Maintenance Team - Future Walk, Chesterfield S49 1PF.
39.5 hours per week. Working Monday to Friday 06:00 - 14:00. There will be a minimum requirement to work 3 days in the office each week.

Key Accountabilities
• Operational accountability for up to 230 Live Jobs per Week
• Manage annual workflow of up to £12m per annum
• Interface with up to 100 Maintenance Providers to drive performance improvements
• Manage the day-to-day relationship of 12x Key Operational Sites
• Lead a team consisting of 1x Cost Controller, and 3x Administrators
• Provide Technical Support & Triage for the External Booking Function
• Investigation of Quality, Red Flag & OCRS Events
• Deliver the Maintenance Plan, inclusive of Trailer quota, for the aligned Control Region
• Ensure robust Compliance documentation is maintained for all Works carried out within region
• Continually Adapt, Grow and Diversify Supplier Network within region
• Leverage all opportunities to maximise the availability of Royal Mails Fleet
Essential
• Excellent IT Skills, computer literate – preferably with experience in a range of software packages including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc (Essential)
• NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in a relevant Automotive Engineering and/or Maintenance Field (Essential)
• 5+ Years of Experience Working in a Workshop and/or Fleet Environment (Highly Desirable)
• Experience of Authorising Work in a Fleet Environment (Advantageous)
• Experience of liaising with Suppliers and External Suppliers (Advantageous)
• Experience of Quality checking HGV Compliance Documentation (Advantageous)
• Demonstrable evidence of leading a team of Technicians and/or Administrators
