Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee average complexity projects, acting as a key contact for clients. Qualifications

  • Minimum education equivalent to HND; degree preferred.
  • At least three years of project management or program experience.
  • Entry-level project management certification (e.g., APM - PMQ, PMI – CAPM).

  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of services within scope, time, and budget.
  • Manage project delivery in line with commercial, contractual, and financial requirements.
  • Create and monitor project schedules, finances, risks, issues, and documentation.

Role Purpose

Manages an average complexity project or a work package of a more complex project. Acts as a single point of contact for clients to effectively manage client and LR relationship. Supports the management of high complexity projects. May be involved in single projects or a portfolio for one or more client contracts. The successful candidate will work with the Technical Manager, Site Inspectors, Surveyors, and stakeholders across the Joint Venture to provide technical confidence and achieve quality and growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of services within scope, time, and budget.
  • Manage project delivery in line with commercial, contractual, and financial requirements.
  • Manage client expectations and relationships.
  • Provide project management leadership using relevant procedures.
  • Create and monitor project schedules, finances, risks, issues, and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing project management reference and resource materials.
  • Support other Project Managers in bid and tender processes.
Health & Safety Responsibilities

Minimize employee risks through regular reviews, controls, and communication. Ensure team compliance with safety rules, instructions, and legal requirements, providing adequate training and resources.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum education equivalent to HND; degree preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of project area/sector/subject (e.g., Engineering, Science, IT & Technology).
  • At least three years of project management or program experience.
  • Responsible for project leadership of average complexity.
  • Entry-level, recognized project management certification (e.g., APM - PMQ, PMI – CAPM, IPMA level D).
  • Ability to complete complex tasks independently, with occasional expert help.
  • Apply project management processes, methods, and tools, adhering to legal and commercial standards.
  • Continual professional development and practical experience.
  • Ability to discuss and challenge project management concepts and principles.
