Locala Health & Wellbeing is seeking a passionate Band 5 Community TB Nurse to join their team. This part-time role involves working in clinical settings and the community to provide high-quality care for TB patients, including home visits and screenings. Permanent, part-time - 18.75 hours/week
Location: Covering North and South Kirklees
A fantastic, rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Band 5 Community TB Nurse within the Locala TB service, covering North and South Kirklees.
The role is varied, including working within clinical settings and the community. Primarily based in South Kirklees, there may be occasions when the successful candidate will need to work across both North and South Kirklees.
The role involves working in New Entrant screening clinics, screening adults and children from high TB prevalence countries. It includes visiting patients in their homes. Skills in phlebotomy and S1 patient record management would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
Tuberculosis (TB) is a curable infectious disease. We offer a specialized service caring for both children and adults, providing high-standard care across different cultures to those suffering from active and latent TB.
Our mission is to help vulnerable communities reach their potential and live well, free from TB. We do this by providing high-quality care at the right time and place, liaising with stakeholders including UKHSA, Kirklees Council Public Health, and other agencies to achieve this.
We seek an experienced Band 5 nurse interested in working in a diverse and unique field of nursing to join our friendly team.
