We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camdento assist with the appointment of aStreet Lighting Senior Technician, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.66 - £26.04 per hour

Summary:

The Street Lighting Senior Technician is responsible for the management, maintenance, and development of public lighting across Camden. This includes overseeing contractors, managing budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to strategic service direction. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, technical accuracy, and innovation, while ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of street lighting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor street lighting maintenance and installation.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and service level agreements.
• Organize and oversee out-of-hours emergency services for the public highway.
• Support budget monitoring and forecasting for public lighting services.
• Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and review systems to monitor compliance and manage risk assessments.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of successful experience in street lighting management.
  
• Proven ability to manage highway maintenance, especially public lighting projects.
• Substantial experience with emergency highway service provision.
  
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong knowledge ofNew Roads and Street Works Act, Highways Act, Traffic Management Act, CDM and Health & Safety legislation
• Familiarity with environmental and waste management issues in an urban context.
• Competency in IT systems and relevant software for service delivery.
• Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills with public and professional stakeholders.
