Job description

We are seeking a highly capable and security-cleared Project Manager (SC and NPPV3) to deliver strategic and operational change projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the execution and successful delivery of projects assigned by the Change Portfolio Board, working within secure environments and adhering to corporate project governance.

Key Responsibilities:Deliver projects in alignment with the priorities and guidance of the Change Portfolio Board.Develop, plan, and coordinate project resources to ensure successful delivery.Maintain active stakeholder engagement and manage the project communication approach across internal teams and external partners.Prepare and present clear, concise reports and briefing papers for boards and governance committees.Develop and maintain all relevant project documentation including plans, risk logs, and reporting artefacts.Ensure strict adherence to corporate project management frameworks and financial guidance.Monitor project performance, budget, risks, and timelines, and escalate issues as required.Facilitate collaboration between operational departments, suppliers, and support teams.

Essential Requirements

Active SC (Security Check) and NPPV3 clearance - essential and must be current.Proven experience delivering projects within law enforcement, government, or secure environments.Strong understanding of project governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder engagement in the public sector.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and deliver under pressure.Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent.Proficient in producing documentation, briefings, and reports to senior stakeholders.Experience working with or within police services or justice departments.Understanding of financial management processes in a public sector or policing context.Change management certification (e.g., APMG Change Management or Prosci).Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
