Role: Lead Consultant Software Developer

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £79,000 - £99,000 p/a

We are working with a reputable software consultancy based in the Northeast of England who are looking for a Consultant Software Developer to join them. They specialise in building sustainable products for their clients, who are in the public and private sector. This role will require you to be on-site at the end client’s office 4 days a week, with potential for more remote work once the project is completed.

As a Consultant Software Developer, you will support clients' work within the financial services sector, with opportunities to work across other industries in the future.

Requirements include:

• C# .Net preferred; experience with Java or Python also relevant.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience in algorithm implementation and analysis.
• Expertise in performance optimisation, focusing on efficiency and speed.
• Experience handling large-scale data processing and working with distributed systems.
• Expertise in parallelism, threading, and concurrent programming.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and strategizing for client deliverables.
• Leading developers in solving complex programming challenges and backlog resolution.
• Managing stakeholder relationships.
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
