Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours are available.

This role is office-based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Collaborating with a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Using technical knowledge to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom security products.
  • Modifying existing designs and working with multidisciplinary teams on new product development.

Training and development: You will receive training, support, and a budget for external courses, with time dedicated to innovation and research.

More About You

To apply, you should have:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a relevant degree (2:2 or higher).
  • Experience in electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Putting Your Skills to Use

You will be involved in the full product development process, creating diverse designs and systems, working with partners and engineers, and demonstrating creativity and determination.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and documenting electronic PCB systems.
  • Verifying designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Supporting products and investigating defects.
  • Contributing to library parts creation and project planning.
