The role of Customer Consultant is a permanent position working full-time. For our Taunton branch, this involves 36 flexible hours across Monday to Saturday to support operating hours in the branch.

What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?
  1. Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome customers warmly, both in-branch and over the phone, ensuring their first interaction is positive.
  2. Engage and Understand: Ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customer needs, providing tailored solutions.
  3. Listen and Tailor Solutions: Offer personalized solutions based on each customer’s circumstances for the best outcomes.
  4. Proactive Outreach: Reach out to customers over the phone to identify needs and discuss support options.
  5. Maintain Accurate Records: Keep customer records up-to-date, with special attention to vulnerable customers.
  6. Adhere to Policies: Follow policies, standards, and controls, supported by comprehensive training and coaching.
What Do We Need From You?
  • Previous experience interacting with customers, in banking, building society, retail, food & beverage, guest services, health/care, or similar sectors. Experience in a contact centre environment is also valuable.
  • The ability to work well with others and demonstrate a ‘one-team’ mindset.
  • Ability to react quickly during busy periods and handle various customer interactions with excellent time management.
  • The desire and ability to grow, adapt, and change according to business needs.
What Is In It For You?

The salary for this role is up to £25,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

This is a permanent full-time role (36 hours/week, Monday–Saturday).
