Shifts Pattern

Monday 7:15 to 3:15
Friday 7:15 to 3:15
Sunday 7:30 to 4:00 Enhanced rate
Alternate Saturdays 7:30 to 4:00

About the part-time receptionist role

The purpose of the receptionist is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the secure hospital reception area. Effective management of hospital security systems promotes a professional approach to meeting and greeting visitors and ensures inbound calls are answered and directed to the correct department/individual.

Key Responsibilities of Our Receptionists Include
  • To effectively manage the secure reception entrance to the hospital.
  • Greet visitors and callers in a polite and professional manner, always representing the company positively.
  • Facilitate the administration of day-to-day security requirements, such as signing out keys and alarms, auditing, testing alarms and pagers.
  • Carry out reception administrative tasks, e.g., post, photocopying, laminating.
  • Operate the company's central switchboard effectively, ensuring prompt responses to calls and taking accurate messages.
  • Keep the reception area presentable.
  • Manage or complete delegated tasks from the operations manager.
About You
Experience and Skillset
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment or receptionist role.
  • Competent PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High accuracy in typing.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexible working approach.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
  • Teamwork skills for the benefit of patients and staff.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to receive supervision and personal appraisal.
  • Willingness to undertake training as needed.
