Salary: £40,000- £47,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

BBC Education is recruiting a campaign producer to deliver BBC Bitesize Guide to AI; a fun and engaging digital literacy campaign to enable young people aged 14-19 to thrive in an AI era.

AI and gen AI are increasingly part of our everyday lives. Knowledge and understanding of this technology is essential for young people. This initiative will give them the confidence to assess AI content, the tools to realise its and their own potential. As well as an understanding of ethical and legal considerations associated with AI.

Main Responsibilities
  • You'll produce distinctive content for students aged 14 to 19 on a variety of platforms and be capable of building purposeful relationships with high profile partners.
  • You'll enable the team to work effectively with other departments, suppliers & partners (internal & external) ensuring the BBC maintains excellent relationships throughout.
  • You'll lead, motivate, and support a team, ensuring that the editorial vision is communicated and understood and be responsible for project management appropriate to the given discipline, such as the construction of a full production schedule and budget in conjunction with Production Management and others.
  • You'll be responsible for ensuring that the content reflects our diverse audience and where relevant, liaise with other teams across the BBC to ensure the Campaign approach adheres to BBC regulations and policy.
  • You'll also work to develop and manage positive working relationships with staff, contributors and talent with the ability to give constructive feedback and seek improvements in content production to develop further efficiencies in working practices.
  • You'll ensure the compliance and delivery of content, is within BBC Editorial, Legal and Health & Safety guidelines.
Are you the right Candidate?
  • You'll understand how to engage 14 to 19 year olds with content online.
  • You will have knowledge and experience of delivering campaigns, preferably in relation to campaigns for the benefit of children and young people.
  • You'll have experience of planning and organising with the ability to manage several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities.
  • You'll have sound editorial judgement and experience working with editorial and proven experience of taking ideas from concept to finished product whilst driving forward creativity.
  • You'll be collaborative and pro-active to work hand-in-glove with other workstreams in BBC Education and other broadcast outlets across the BBC and high profile partners.
  • You'll have the ability to lead the team to develop creative ideas which engage diverse audiences in a demanding creative environment and have previous experience of managing and motivating a team, and actively managing team performance, including talent.
  • You'll be flexible and adaptable in the face of an ever-changing societal landscape.
