Job Details

• Job Title: Cover Supervisor
• Location: Underley Garden School, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ
• Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
• Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your main objective is to provide high-quality teaching and learning cover across the school. You will be responsible for leading whole classes, managing challenging behaviours, and ensuring all pupils remain focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover some timetabled classes throughout the week in addition to covering general absence etc.
• Deliver high-quality lessons and occasionally deal with challenging behaviour in the classroom.
• Ensure all students are focused and on track to meet lesson objectives.
• Prepare the classroom for lessons.
• Contribute to the development, organisation, and implementation of the school’s policy for the personal and social development of pupils, including pastoral care and guidance.
• Assist in the effective induction of pupils – baseline assessments.
• Promote standards of conduct/discipline and proper regard for authority among pupils and encourage good behaviour.
