Job Details

• Job Title: Cover Supervisor
• Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
• Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
• Eligibility: UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to join our close-knit team at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism.

About the role

The main objective of the Cover Supervisor is to provide high-quality teaching and learning cover across the school. Responsibilities include leading whole classes, managing challenging behaviours, and ensuring pupils meet lesson objectives. This role is crucial for maintaining consistency and continuity of education, especially when teachers are absent or engaged in other activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cover timetabled classes and general absences.
2. Deliver high-quality lessons and manage challenging behaviour.
3. Ensure students stay focused and meet lesson objectives.
4. Prepare classrooms for lessons.

As a staff member, you would also contribute to:

1. The development and implementation of policies for pupils’ personal and social development, including pastoral care.
2. Effective induction of pupils through baseline assessments.
3. Promoting standards of conduct and encouraging good behaviour.
