Our Future Teachers Programme offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a secondary school setting. This paid placement allows you to explore life in the classroom, develop essential teaching skills, and see if teaching is the right path for you—without the immediate commitment of a postgraduate qualification.
What’s involved?
You’ll spend a term or more supporting teachers and students through a range of classroom activities, including:
One-to-one student support
Lesson planning assistance
Leading small groups or whole classes
Marking and feedback
Exposure to different subjects, year groups, and teaching styles

Requirements:
A degree in any subject (completed or due to complete by summer 2025)
Some experience working with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable
A friendly, proactive, and approachable attitude
Completion of an Enhanced DBS check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
