Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your professional growth through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service delivery teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support Professional Services and Sales within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Maintain documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal and external processes for tasks, reporting, and changes.
  • Assist with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Review engineering documentation peer-wise.
  • Lead pre-staging of equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings: support reviews, project roadmaps, incident reviews.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Complete certifications and training aligned with role.
  • Submit overtime and expenses accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding data.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux exposure, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in support environments. Experience with On-premise Cloud Services is also desired.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (preferred)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or higher
  • Networking knowledge
  • SQL Server 2016+ experience, especially clustering and availability groups
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016+
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
