Job description

A quick look at the role

Biffa's Construction division has grown significantly over the past few years and is a key growth area in the business's 5-year plans. Biffa operates C&D processing facilities in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Hampshire, and is the UK's leading supplier of waste skips. The portfolio includes several strong regional brands, and this role will work across these within the framework of the Biffa group.

This new role will work with the Head of Divisional Marketing, key stakeholders from the Construction division, operations, and sales, as well as the marketing team to develop the marketing strategy for the division. The role will also be accountable for working with key channel owners to execute the strategy via multi-channel activities and manage relevant asset development and creation. The focus will always be on defining success against KPIs (awareness, engagement, and commercial) with an emphasis on measurability and continuous improvement.

Your Core Responsibilities
  1. Set the marketing strategy for Biffa's Construction division, aligning it with business goals to drive value, and lead the execution of specific workstreams.
  2. Become a subject matter expert on Biffa's Construction division, including sector needs, propositions framework, USPs, and KSPs.
  3. Ensure all marketing activities are purposeful, measurable, aligned with the strategy and budget, and maximize asset utilization across all digital and non-digital channels.
  4. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to create and execute marketing plans focused on Construction division priorities.
  5. Create high-quality campaigns and materials that support the sales funnel—awareness, lead generation, and conversion—across various channels.
  6. Manage the content and search performance of websites within the portfolio, along with social and paid search campaigns.
  7. Work with in-house digital teams and agencies to analyze campaign performance and optimize strategies based on data insights.
  8. Identify key accounts or regional customer segments for targeted marketing activities.
  9. Report on digital marketing results, setting and monitoring KPIs.
  10. Make data-driven recommendations to achieve strategic goals and marketing objectives, acting on insights and correcting course when necessary.
Our Essential Requirements
  1. Experience in setting and implementing marketing strategies in a B2B environment.
  2. Proven success in creating website experiences that deliver outstanding results.
  3. Experience in managing multi-channel campaigns with compelling content to drive awareness, leads, and conversions.
  4. Experience managing website content and working with web agencies.
