Job Description:

You’ll work closely with experts to monitor your site, witnessing the impact of your work on people's well-being daily.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Assist with risk assessments and follow-up control measures to completion.
  2. Advise associates and managers on company procedures and legal requirements within your Technician knowledge level.
  3. Monitor compliance with safety procedures in the fulfillment center.
  4. Assist with incident investigations to establish root causes and develop action plans.
  5. Update records related to incidents, near misses, and accidents.
  6. Produce weekly safety reports as required.
  7. Attend monthly health and safety meetings.
  8. Undertake projects to identify hazards and assess risks within the delivery station.
  9. Implement action plans to ensure ongoing legal compliance.
  10. Maintain confidentiality in safety investigations.
  11. Monitor Dock, Yard, and Smart Handling safety procedures for compliance.
  12. Conduct EHS training sessions for managers and associates.

A day in the life

You’ll be based at one of our sites, closely monitoring operations and addressing safety concerns proactively. Your role involves understanding equipment and processes to identify potential issues before they occur. You’ll implement safety improvements and support the Operations team with safety-related tasks, gathering and sharing vital safety data across the business.

About the team

Customer Fulfilment (CF) is the backbone of Amazon, handling over 1.5 million orders daily across global centers. Our team manages dynamic inventory and ensures speedy deliveries, forming the first link in the customer experience chain.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • NVQ Level 3 in occupational safety or NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Experience with metrics reporting and data analysis to identify problems and root causes
  • Knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in logistics, operations, warehouse, or customer-focused environments
  • Ability to learn quickly and adhere to new processes
  • Willingness to adapt and innovate
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
