MINT is a multidisciplinary service providing holistic support and treatment to adults with various mental health difficulties within a stepped-care framework. Our established psychology team is well integrated and highly valued within the service.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early career Clinical or Counselling psychologist to develop and consolidate specialist clinical skills working with adults in a community mental health setting, managing complex mental health needs. There are opportunities to develop advanced skills through CPD and training tailored to your interests and the team’s needs.

The role involves not only providing 1-1 psychological assessments and treatments but also embedding psychological principles within the multidisciplinary team (MDT). We seek a candidate who thrives in team environments and is passionate about sharing psychological thinking and consultation.

You will:

  1. Provide specialist assessments and treatments for individuals with complex mental health conditions, both 1-1 and group settings.
  2. Offer psychological consultation and guidance to the MDT through attendance at team meetings and case consultations, both formal and informal. A genuine interest in MDT collaboration and promoting psychological approaches is essential.
  3. Support service development through audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement projects.
  4. Work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those seeking asylum, utilizing interpreters when necessary. A passion for ensuring equitable access to services and understanding the psychological needs related to migration is vital.
