About The Role

Are you ready to lead on Maths in our Folkestone College?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing team at Folkestone College for a Curriculum Lead for Maths (known internally as a Programme Director). This is predominantly a teaching role, with the expectation to support development of the curriculum area.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan a highly relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet local/regional skills requirements.
  2. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learner needs.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Lead and coordinate the delivery team to ensure all students receive up-to-date course information during their time at college.
  5. Create course/programme activities to support student understanding of objectives, assessment schedules, and requirements in line with awarding body criteria, including the course handbook.

About You:
  • Highly organized and creative.
  • Able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and track student progress.
  • Plan interventions with impact to ensure all students develop necessary skills.

You will be passionate about making a difference to students' future careers, providing academic leadership, and managing curriculum delivery and accreditation. Teaching and vocational experience are essential, and strong leadership skills are desirable.

This role is ideal for a proven teacher or lecturer seeking career progression, overseeing curriculum provision, building stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Teaching experience and qualified teacher status are required for this position.
