Are you ready to lead on Maths in our Folkestone College?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing team at Folkestone College for a Curriculum Lead for Maths (known internally as a Programme Director). This is primarily a teaching role, with responsibilities to support curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design a relevant and distinctive curriculum to meet local and regional skills needs.
  2. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual learner needs.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Lead and coordinate the delivery team to ensure students receive current course information.
  5. Develop course activities to support student understanding of objectives, assessment schedules, and requirements, including the course handbook, in line with awarding body criteria.

About You:

  • You will be highly organized and creative.
  • You can plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You can assess and monitor student progress.
  • You can plan interventions with impact to help students develop essential skills.

You will be passionate about impacting students' future careers, providing academic leadership, managing curriculum delivery, and overseeing accreditation. Teaching and vocational experience are essential; strong leadership skills are desirable.

This role is ideal for a proven teacher or lecturer looking to advance their career, as you will oversee curriculum provision from the outset, build stakeholder relationships, and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.

Teaching experience and qualified teacher status are required for this position.
