Job Description:

We are working with a dynamic and hugely successful insurer who is looking to add to their growing team of Scheme & Affinity expert Underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with new and existing broker partners to identify, implement, and launch new schemes and affinities.
• Operate within your underwriting authority, working closely with senior stakeholders across the UK business.
• Work within underwriting empowerment and make referrals as appropriate.
• Be comfortable trading face-to-face with intermediaries or clients.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong knowledge of underwriting, preferably in Professional Indemnity, Property & Casualty.
• Demonstrated high level of technical expertise.
• An understanding of underwriting risks within scheme arrangements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, managing workload and diary effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and prioritize multiple projects.
• Skilled in exercising independent judgment and making critical business decisions.

The Reward

• Salary circa £50,000 plus London weighting.
