The Schemes Development Underwriter Role

• Build and maintain strong broker relationships to develop profitable schemes
• Underwrite new and existing business on a case-by-case basis and at the account level
• Monitor and manage your portfolio, identifying opportunities and making strategic adjustments
• Refine and evolve underwriting guides to stay competitive
• Lead broker workshops to share insights and enhance underwriting knowledge
• Ensure governance, compliance, and efficiency in underwriting practices
• Take ownership of delivering profitable growth and maintaining a high-performing portfolio

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as an underwriter, preferably within commercial lines or schemes
• Strong track record of building and managing broker relationships
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Confidence in managing a portfolio and driving performance improvements
• Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
