English, Maths and Science Tutor Opportunity – 1:1, Swindon

Prospero Teaching is seeking English, Maths, and Science Tutors to provide bespoke 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged students currently without a school placement.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for those looking to move away from traditional classroom teaching and make a meaningful impact on disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. The tutor will create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge educational gaps in KS3 or KS4 and enhance engagement and attainment.

We seek English, Maths, and Science Tutors who are passionate about working with children with diverse learning needs, using a creative, flexible, and holistic approach to improve their educational outcomes.

Key Details:

• Location – Within the community or pupils’ homes in Swindon
• Position – English, Maths, and Science Tutor
• Type of work – Contract
• Duration – Until the student reintegrates into a new school
• End date – Ongoing
• Contract type – Temporary
• Work hours – Part-time (6–15 hours/week per student)
• Pay rate – Minimum £25/hour
• Hours – Flexible, depending on family needs
