About the Team:

The Capital Studio is part of the wider Infrastructure and Capital Delivery team within Resident and Enabling Service. The team’s main goal is to deliver projects for internal clients, including Transport, Sustainability, and Parks, benefiting Lambeth residents and visitors.

About the Role:

The key responsibility is to ensure that internal and external supply chains deliver a portfolio of high-profile, complex capital and non-capital Highway Asset Improvement Projects, each up to £10m, on time, within budget, and to the required quality. The post-holder will establish and work closely with extensive supply chains and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Project Management accreditation or strong knowledge of project management processes.
  • Knowledge of strategic business planning and service improvements in a council environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and delivering capital projects in local government, especially Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.
  • Proven contract management skills, experience with Term Partnering Contracts, NEC, and JCT.
  • Strong financial awareness, capable of reporting and presenting on multiple projects.
  • Experience working in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations and other statutory requirements.
  • Extensive experience in writing detailed reports and business cases, and presenting complex issues.
  • Ability to network and build relationships at all levels to achieve objectives.
  • Proficiency with management, project, and analysis tools.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing complex work streams.
