About the Team:

The Capital Studio is part of the Infrastructure and Capital Delivery team within Resident and Enabling Service. Our main objective is to deliver projects for internal clients such as Transport, Sustainability, and Parks, benefiting Lambeth residents and visitors.

About the Role:

The key responsibility is to ensure that internal and external supply chains deliver a portfolio of high-profile, complex capital and non-capital Highway Asset Improvement Projects, each up to £10m, within budget, on time, and to the required quality. The post-holder will establish and work closely with extensive supply chains and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Project Management accreditation or excellent knowledge of project management processes.
  • Knowledge of strategic business planning and service improvements within a council environment.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and delivering capital projects in a local government setting, particularly Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.
  • Proven contract management skills with experience managing delivery through Term Partnering Contracts, NEC, and JCT.
  • Strong financial awareness with the ability to report and present spend across multiple projects.
  • Experience working in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations and other statutory requirements.
  • Experience in writing detailed reports and business cases, and presenting complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to network and build relationships at all levels to achieve objectives and improve processes.
  • Proficiency in management, project, and analysis tools for data presentation.
  • Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing highly complex work streams and projects.
