As an Associate Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Platform Experience team, you will be central to this effort, focusing on delivering innovative ideas to our customers. You will work within tribes and squads that focus on specific products and projects, with opportunities to move between them based on your strengths and interests.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Execute software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to resolve technical challenges.
  2. Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with relevant systems.
  3. Develop and maintain high-quality user interfaces for web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
  4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive, responsive interfaces.
  5. Ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs.
  6. Optimize applications for speed and usability.
  7. Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and standards.
  8. Conduct code reviews.
  9. Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a UI Developer with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest and Playwright.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Proficiency in TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Vite.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools.
