Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team, you'll add value to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and be an integral part of the team. You'll investigate trends and report on key themes regarding shrinkage to protect our profits. You'll patrol the shop floor to deter theft, monitor CCTV for suspicious behaviour, and protect fellow Partners and customers.

Due to the nature of the role, you need to be 18 or older. You’ll work on a rota, including evenings and weekends.

The stated salary is pro-rated for part-time hours (20 hours/week). The full-time equivalent salary ranges from £24,400 to £32,000 annually.

This role requires pre-employment screening: 5-year reference check, Basic Disclosure, and 5-year financial probity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the point of contact for Profit Protection issues, escalating as needed.
  • Mitigate malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
  • Manage shrinkage within budget and risk parameters.
  • Address all shrinkage aspects: dishonesty, procedural failures, errors.
  • Support and coach Partners on shrinkage prevention.
  • De-escalate conflicts professionally; may detain or ban offenders.
  • Assist with investigations as required.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence resolving conflicts.
  • Attention to detail, trend spotting.
  • Customer service and relationship skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Experience in loss prevention and customer-facing roles is beneficial but not essential; training provided.
