Summary of Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects of software design, development, and implementation for PLC-based control and/or SCADA systems. The role involves working in a team across all project lifecycle stages for the delivery of PLC and SCADA/DCS systems, primarily in the renewable power generation and storage industry. Projects include system upgrades to the latest versions, modifications for extensions and improvements, as well as new build projects. The candidate should have proven mainstream control automation experience across several previous projects utilizing the technologies listed below.

• Minimum 2 years experience using at least one of the following technologies:
• Siemens PCS7 Automation Stations
• Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix utilizing Studio 5000

Minimum 2 years experience / Advanced SCADA Configuration skills using at least one of the following applications:

• Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE

Additional requirements include:

• Experience in producing Function Design Specifications, System/Detailed Design Specifications, and Test Specifications
• Experience in writing software to IEC61131 utilizing ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart, and structured text
• Experience in performing Internal and Customer Factory Acceptance Tests
• Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures
• Willingness to travel and work away when required
• Full UK Driving licence
• Experience with communication protocols including:
• Experience with virtualization utilizing VMWare or HyperV
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Domain Configuration
• Experience with Network Switch and Firewall Configuration
• Experience with simulation software e.g., SIMIT, PICS, WinMOD
• Experience with renewable power generation control systems
• Experience with site work/commissioning automation control systems
• Experience with Legacy PLCs/software e.g., Rockwell RSLogix5, 500 or 5000, Schneider Unity Pro/Concept, Siemens Step 7

• Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
• Good verbal and written communication skills
