Job Title: Logistics Operative

We have a 34.75 hours Logistics Operative (site based) vacancy on a 4-week rota, working 8 am to 4 pm at the Evington Centre, within our Estates and Facilities Directorate.

Role Overview

The post holder will deliver high-quality, responsive, and efficient patient support services to wards and departments, acting professionally and in accordance with departmental procedures. The role involves teamwork to provide porter and laundry services, ensuring timely movement of patients, mail, furniture, materials, and equipment within the site.

Requirements
  • Uniform, provided by the Trust, must be worn at all times within the hospital environment. Personal hygiene standards must be maintained.
  • Applicants should bring photo ID, proof of right to work, and proof of address to interviews.
  • Early application submission is advised as the closing date may be moved forward if high application volume is received.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receipt and distribution of healthcare products
  • Transportation of linen cages, waste bins, and carts within the hospital
  • Patient transfers within the hospital
  • Domestic and reception duties
  • Movement of patients using wheelchairs, trolleys, beds, etc., assisting clinical staff to minimize risks
  • Handling of deceased persons following Trust policies
  • Waste management in accordance with policies and legislation
