We have a 34.75-hour Logistics Operative (site-based) vacancy on a 4-week rota, working 8-4 at the Evington Centre within our Estates and Facilities Directorate.

The post holder will provide high-quality, responsive, and efficient patient support services to wards and departments within LPT NHS Trust, acting in a caring and professional manner and following departmental operating procedures.

The role involves working within a team to deliver a high-quality porter service and laundry operations, ensuring timely and responsive movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials, and equipment within the site.

Uniform, provided and to be worn at all times in the hospital environment, must not be worn to and from work. A high standard of personal hygiene is expected.

Applicants are asked to bring their photo ID and proof of right to work and address to interviews.

The Logistics Operative will perform various Facilities Management functions, including:

  • Receipt and distribution of healthcare-related products
  • Transport of linen cages, waste bins/carts around hospital environments
  • Patient moves (reception to department or department to department)
  • Domestic and reception cover
  • Movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, or bed, assisting clinical staff to reduce risk
  • Movement of deceased persons following Trust policies and procedures
  • Ensuring waste is collected, transported, and disposed of according to policies and legislation

Salary: Competitive, including payments for unsocial hours, and enhanced pay for weekends.
